၅ နှစ်တာ ကာလဆိုတာ သမိုင်းနဲ့ယှဉ်ရင် စာမျက်နှာ အနည်းငယ်မျှပဲ ဖြစ်နိုင်ပါတယ်။ ဒါပေမဲ့ အာဏာရှင်စနစ်ကို အမြစ်ဖြတ်ဖို့ ရဲရဲဝံ့ဝံ့ ရင်ဆိုင်ခဲ့ကြတဲ့ ကျွန်တော်တို့ ပြည်သူတွေအတွက်ကတော့... ဒါဟာ သွေး၊ ချွေး၊ မျက်ရည်တွေနဲ့ တည်ဆောက်ခဲ့ရတဲ့ တော်လှန်ရေး ခရီးရှည်တခုပဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

လက်နက်အားကိုးပြီး လူ့အခွင့်အရေးတွေကို ချိုးဖဲ့ဖျက်ဆီး၊ အစွမ်းကုန် ယုတ်မာရက်စက်နေတဲ့ စစ်အာဏာရှင်တွေကို ငြိမ်းချမ်းစွာ တောင်းဆိုလို့ မရတော့တဲ့အဆုံးမှာ.. ပြည်သူလူထုဟာ မိမိကိုယ်ကို ခုခံပိုင်ခွင့်ကိုသုံးပြီး တောင်တန်းပြည်မ အားလုံးညီညီညွတ်ညွတ်နဲ့ တန်ပြန်တွန်းလှန်ခဲ့ကြရတာပါ။

"စစ်ကျွန်ခံရတာထက် သေရတာက ပိုမြတ်တယ်" ဆိုတဲ့ ရဲရင့်တဲ့ သန္နိဋ္ဌာန်နဲ့ အကြမ်းဖက်စစ်အုပ်စုကို လှည်းနေလှေအောင်း မြင်းစောင်းမကျန် တွန်းလှန်တိုက်ဖျက်ဖို့ စတင်ခဲ့တဲ့ ပြည်သူ့ခုခံတွန်းလှန်စစ်ဟာ အခုဆိုရင် (၅) နှစ်တိုင်တိုင် ရှိခဲ့ပြီ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

အခုအချိန်မှာတော့ ပြည်သူ့တော်လှန်ရေးဟာ ခုခံစစ်အဆင့်ကို ကျော်လွန်သွားခဲ့ပါပြီ။ ရန်သူကို အပြီးသတ် ချေမှုန်းနိုင်မယ့် "မဟာဗျူဟာထိုးစစ်" အဆင့်ကို တက်လှမ်းနေပြီ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ အမှောင်ထုရဲ့ နောက်ဆုံးအချိန်ဟာ အမှောင်ဆုံး ဖြစ်တတ်သလို... တော်လှန်ရေးကို အဆုံးသတ်နိုင်မယ့် အခိုက်အတန့်ကာလဟာလည်း စိန်ခေါ်မှုတွေ အင်မတန် များပြားပါလိမ့်မယ်။

ဒါပေမဲ့လည်း... ၅ နှစ်တာကာလပတ်လုံး ကြံ့ကြံ့ခံ တွန်းလှန်ခဲ့ကြတဲ့ ဒီပြည်သူတွေရဲ့ အင်အားနဲ့ပဲ တော်လှန်ရေးခရီးဆုံးပန်းတိုင်ထိ ရှေ့ဆက်ကြရမှာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ပြည်သူ့ခုခံတွန်းလှန်စစ် (၅) နှစ်တာပတ်လုံး ကြံ့ခိုင်စွာ တွန်းလှန်ခဲ့ကြသူအပေါင်းကို အလေးအနက် လေးစားဂုဏ်ပြုအပ်ပါတယ်။

Five years may be just a few pages in the passage of history. However, for us—the people who bravely confronted and fought to uproot the dictatorial system—this has been a long and arduous revolutionary journey built with blood, sweat, and tears.

When it became impossible to achieve anything through peaceful appeals against a military regime that relies on weapons, violates human rights, and commits cruel atrocities to the fullest extent, the public exercised their inherent right to self-defense. People across both the hills and the plains united to push back and fight alongside one another.

Guided by the courageous resolution that "death is preferable to living as military slaves," the People's Defensive War—launched to thoroughly resist and dismantle the terrorist military junta in every corner of society—has now reached its 5th year.

At this juncture, the people's revolution has moved beyond the defensive stage. It is now advancing into the "strategic offensive" phase to decisively crush the enemy. Just as the darkest hour usually comes right before the dawn, the final stretch to conclude this revolution will undoubtedly be fraught with immense challenges.

Nevertheless, powered by the strength of the people who have resiliently resisted over the past five years, we must press forward to the final destination of our revolution. We deeply honor and salute everyone who has steadfastly stood and fought throughout these five years of the People's Defensive War.

The just defensive war will surely prevail.
